The University of Wollongong, founded in 1951, enrolls more than 23,000 students of which there are over 8,800 overseas students. The university comprises of nine locations: Wollongong Campus, Shoalhaven Campus, Batemans Bay Education Centre, Dubai Campus, Bega Education Centre, Loftus Education Centre, Moss Vale Education Centre, Innovation Campus and the Sydney Business School. Research programs in areas like telecommunications, radiation physics, superconductors and multimedia; and study programs in marine science, Australian studies, business and psychology are offered by the university.
