Course description:

This program provides a postgraduate extension to the four-year undergraduate psychology program offered at Griffith University, and of other four-year psychology degrees. The program is recognised by the Psychologists Board of Queensland as allowing students to become registered psychologists under Pathway Two of the registration process and is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). The program meets the University's commitment to life long learning and innovation. The curriculum is focused on the dual goals of helping participants develop professional meta competencies (such as reflective practice, interpersonal skills and self-management),and specific competencies for enhancing the functioning of individuals and organisations, such as workplace counselling, psychological assessment, facilitation and consultancy, HRM, program evaluation and training.

Entry requirements:

Students should satisfy a minimum English language requirements, a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL or a computerised TOEFL score of 213 or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19) or a minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5 or no score less than three in each skill of the ISLPR and English test results must be no more than two years old. They must have completed Year 12 of secondary school or equivalent academic achievement. They must have prerequisites of English (4SA).
